Located at Porters, St James on the famous West coast of Barbados. The Colony Club is discreetly elegant, you enter the property down an avenue of Australian pine trees off the south coast road. Only 40 minutes from the Airport and 20 minutes from the capital of Bridgetown. Ideally located with a selection of shops and a variety of restaurants only 10 minutes away.
Part of the Elegant Hotels Group, luxury and sophistication await you as does good service and attention to detail. This luxury hotel has four freshwater swimming pool lagoons with rock pools, which meander through 7 tropical acres of palm filled gardens facing the Caribbean Sea.
Dinning is a grand affair. Choose between the casual, covered open air Laguna restaurant with its wonderful sea views (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or evening dining in the formal al la carte Orchid Room (children over 12 years). Throughout the day relax at the Sunset Bar. Light snacks are served on The Deck in the afternoon and evening daily. The Planters Bar, an intimate cocktail lounge, opens each evening for pre-dinner drinks (open on seasonal basis). Dine around program with 3 sister Elegant Hotels' West coast properties (Water Taxi weather permitting). Dress Code, Smart Casual after 6pm - no shorts, T shirts.
On the beach the watersports centre offers a range of complimentary sports such as windsurfing, Hobie cat sailing, snorkelling, kayaks and water-skiing. One complimentary diving lesson in the pool. There are two floodlit tennis courts, fitness centre and Spa. The Royal Westmoreland Country Club course is a 5 minute taxi ride from Colony Club and guests benefit from our preferred tee time agreement. Internet WIFI (wireless) access in public areas.
Colony Club 96 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites, furnished with whitewashed wooden ceilings, bureaus and rattan rocking chairs. Air conditioned rooms are furnished with a king size or twin beds, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, TV, telephone, clock radio, room safe, private bathroom with bathrobes, hairdrye, bath and shower. All have either a patio or balcony.
Pool Garden View Rooms located around the swimming pools and gardens, sleeps 2 adults and 1 child (0 - 12 years).
Ocean View Room with ocean views, sleeps 2 adults only.
Junior Suites pool/garden views, are larger and feature a sitting area with a sofa bed and a spacious marble bathroom, sleeps to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Ocean view Junior Suites available (room supps apply).
One Bedroom Suite only 11 one bedroom suites either with garden or ocean views. These feature a bedroom with a king size four poster bed and a separate living area complete with a pull out sofa bed. Additionally, spacious balconies are adorned with privacy curtains and day beds promoting a leisurely and relaxing experience. Suites comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Family holidays: Child age 2-12 years No children 12 years or under allowed in February. Contact us for a family quote, see meal plan offer below for Summer 2013. Kids STAY FREE at the resort in Summer from 01 May to 31 Aug (when sharing with parents). Interconnecting accommodation on request.
